| Matt Hamer For the first two months of German being available on apterous, the conundrums offered to players were all from a relatively small pool of relatively common German 9s. The current record of 170 for German CA was set under those conditions. Since the expansion to allow all German 9s (with unique solutions) as possible conundrums, no-one has come close to the record. This score of 140 http://www.apterous.org/viewgame.php?game=1553776 is the best. I believe the record of 170 should stand, but it will be so much harder to equal than it was at the time the record was set. |

| Matt Hamer Traditionally, apterous hasn't reset records/stats when there's been a dictionary update (e.g. when ODE3 changed to ODO, CSW12 to CSW15, both of which made it much harder to get max games) or when the conundrum pool has been expanded. Yes, the conundrum pool expansion for German was far far larger than we'd ever had in English play. However, over the last 6 years, no player of German games on apterous has ever objected to Anglo Italian's record. I certainly support the record remaining. |
