![]() | Sean D not entirely clear in the rules if a palidrome of 1 or 3 letters counts for the bonus |
![]() | Ben Bazzard Sean: "a word of fewer than 4 letters long will end your game". So palindromes have to be 5,7 or 9 letters long. |
![]() | Fiona T oh balls, missed that! :D |
![]() | Sean D ah balls, the 4 letter thing just cost me a record score here. Read A:LL the rules, lol |

Notes from the organizer: Miriam has piled the pressure on Adam and Stu in round 3 after another great performance. At the time of writing both of our previous leaders are yet to respond.
Tom C has started to slowly push himself back into the fold and, with a high quality leaderboard, the pressure on our leaders is beginning to ramp up.

For the first time this year we move away from Touch and onto a Goat Attack. Round 4 is all about alternating vowels and consonants in your words.
Every word you declare should follow a sequence of VCVC… or CVCV… Declaring a word that doesn’t follow this format, declaring an invalid word, no word at all or a word of fewer than 4 letters long will end your game scoring.
A 5 point bonus is on offer for anyone successfully declaring exactly 10 valid and qualifying words beginning with a vowel, and 10 with a consonant.
A second 5 point bonus is on offer for anyone declaring a valid palindrome following the vowel / consonant sequence (which would naturally be of 5, 7 or 9 or letters) whilst scoring is still active.
Our all-time record holder for Alternate Reality is Dave Robjohns with a score of 133.
Here’s an example game:
1. UNIT
2. EMIT
3. FAVELA
4. GAMETE
5. LOGO
