Tourney round: Alphabetti Spaghetti 2025: Round 2: Start At The End
Notes from the organizer: With most players having completed round 1, it’s Adam Latchford leading the way with a full house that scored 131. He’s one ahead of Stu Harkness, who also hit the full house including both Q and X bonuses. Neither could quite beat Matthew B’s record of 136, which looks set to stand for another year unless one of our late-players can threaten it.
Quite a few are playing catch-up having bombed out early, but a lot can change quickly in this tournament and everyone usually throws in at least one dud round. A reminder that READING THE RULES IS ESSENTIAL.

We stick with a Touchdown LA versus Prune and players must again link their words from round to round, this time by ensuring each word they declare begins with the last letter from their declaration in the previous round.
As soon as you fail to make the link (or declare an invalid word, or no word at all), your scoring ends.
IMPORTANT - Again, only words of 4+ letters will keep your game-scoring going.
The Q and X come into play again with anyone using either anywhere in a word in their game (whilst scoring is still active) getting 5 bonus points for each (only 10 bonus points available in total - 5 for the first use of each - you don’t score more bonus points the more you use them).
Florence holds the all-time record for ‘Start At The End’ with a score of 140 points in last year’s edition.
