Tourney round: Aegilopsists: 2021: Sign-Ups

<< 2020: Grand Final | 2021: Qualifier >>

Notes from the organizer: Welcome to Aegilopsists, so called because it's a better agent noun than "Aegilopers".

This, as the name suggests, is a tournament taking place in the Aegilops variant. These will all play as 9-rounders. Because they're better then the Old 15 "Aegilops 15" format.

This is similar to, but more serious than, the once-every-10-years (but could be more frequent in the unlikely case of popular demand) Spoilers tournament that took place over the most recent Christmas period, so if you played in that, or in Aegilopsists last year, than you'll know what to expect.

Specifically, the stages are as follows:
- Qualifier - everyone plays Prune to decide seedings
- Group stage - everyone to be drawn into 4 groups, football-style (1x pot 1, 1x pot 2, etc) and play a single round-robin, with the top two to qualify
- Quarter-finals
- Semi-finals
- Final

Not too many changes to the rules from last year, only that I will run it as a wiki page (as it's easier to update rather than export a powerpoint every 3 days to Google Drive), and there will be a fresh QF draw (but the group winners will play group runners-up) and a fresh SF draw. To speed things along (as this tournament is taking place a little later in the year compared to last year), your qualifier against Prune will go up as soon as your sign-up is accepted.

Sign-ups open for **TWO WEEKS ONLY**, so you must sign-up by **WEDNESDAY 14 JULY** at 23:59 BST.
