Fi Thorne Oh no, I'm so sorry Patrick. I usually log into Apterous every morning before work, but something came up yesterday and I didn't even think to check later as I had forgotten the Tag Team tourney was running. Any chance of being re-entered please Andy, as you know I am usually very reliable, and more importantly to be fair to Patrick.

Andy SC @Fi - I appreciate that you are normally very reliable. I do allow ones back in if they are eliminated due to their tag-team partner not playing the game (already happened to Robin/Stu P). I feel if I was to start allowing ones back in that did not play the game because they are normally very reliable then I would have to allow everyone back in that did not play the game. What would people say to allowing players back in to Tag Team Royal Rumble that did not play the game?

Dave Kempshall Andy - I think, it is quite difficult to keep track when it's your first round in the ring this year, especially given the way of communicating the deadline has now changed. As someone not yet in the ring, I don't know how I'd know when I'm first put into the ring, do you send an Aptomail to them? If not, then I feel maybe that's the best way of letting people know, just a one off Aptomail saying, "you're now in the ring" or something along those lines. Otherwise, as Fi says, if life takes over it's really easy to miss your first round without knowing, which has clearly happened here.

Andy SC @Dave - Aptomails are sent out with the following message - Round 14 games are up for Individual Royal Rumble 2026 - https://www.apterous.org/to_tourney.php?tourney=6936 - You have 24-Hours from the time stamp on this message to play the game which will be clearly marked in the description on the tournament page next to "DEADLINE FOR CURRENT ROUND:" - It's so I can use the time stamp on the Aptomail to set the deadline.

Andy SC In addition to the above - I was trying the new approach to deadlines to see if it would in anyway help speed things up.

Dave Kempshall Ah OK, well I think perhaps if Aptomails are sent out then it's just the nature of this tournament. You've kind of done all you can at that point. I think it's just unfortunate if someone misses the deadline. I think reinstating people who miss it for whatever reasons would then open a massive can of worms that'd make managing the tournament your end impossible.

Dave Kempshall I guess the only question would be reconsidering the 24 hour deadline, but that's entirely your prerogative and one of the great things about this tournament as things move quickly.

Andy SC Looking back at last year looked like it was two full days I gave. Tag team started on 29th September and last entry was not till 23rd November and the tourney then concluded on the 15th December. For Individual last entry was about 1st January and tournament concluded 9th January.
