Tourney round: APGA Tour 2026: T2: The Masters - Round 3

<< T2: The Masters - Round 2

Notes from the organizer: At the midway point it’s Tom C, Matthew T and Tom F who jump to the front with defending champion Adam L and serial front-runner Ravi C a couple of shots back.

It's still tight with six other people all within 5 of our leaders, but the field will likely to spread out as the greens firm up in R3.

(A couple of holiday-related extensions given).

Round 3 - and the greens are beginning to change colour. Lower scores are possible on each hole, but so are higher scores, so we move to a Hypergoat Letters Attack with some tough scoring at Amen Corner (see below).

Scoring is as follows…

12 letter word - Albatross
11 letter word - Eagle
10 letter word - Birdie
9 letter word - Par
8 letter word - Bogey
7 letter word - Double Bogey
6 letter word or worse - Triple Bogey

Amen Corner (holes 11, 12 and 13) is there to punish you in R3. On these holes, words beginning with a consonant will count as TWO letters worse than they actually are. This means if you declare something like NATURALISED (11) then instead of an Eagle, you’d be left with just a Par. So it’s likely a case of vowels all the way there.

Rounds 19 and 20, as always, don’t count.

Good luck!
