![]() | Matthew Tassier Wow, that must be a record. |

![]() | Matthew Tassier Beating Dave to be top scorer by three points this round and reclaiming the top tournament scorer spot it's Strongest Link Tom. |
![]() | Matthew Tassier Final player Keith held his nerve through his last 4 rounds to join Mike on 134 points and in the final 5. This means that leaving in 7th place this year, having very much enjoyed the strongest debut since Chris H. in 2021 it's George. And in 6th just a few points short this round it's tournament stalwart and former champion Chris. So, Chris and George you are the Weakest Links. Goodbye! |
![]() | George Ford Thanks Matthew |
![]() | Chris Butler Bit disappointed to go out at this stage, I think the stats on the left suggesting I was the round favourite added some pressure and Plum stole crucial points which would've put me over the line. Oh well, another great tourney Matthew, thanks for hosting. Hope to return next year, good luck to the final 5! |
![]() | Chris Butler ...on the bright side, I've now got a 6th place to add to my collection. 4th is now the only placing I'm missing from the top 8. That's next years aim! |
Notes from the organizer: Round 22 and there are just 7 players left to take on Apterous Plum in a Hypertouch format game. Plum likes to choose 8 small numbers which should provide some very difficult rounds and he will solve some of them, but may leave an opportunity to score with non-exact solutions. Being a Touch variant there is potential for some odd looking selections.
Some stats for this round:
Expected competitors: 7
Weakest Links required: 2
Opponent's Hypertouch PB: 110
Most Hypertouch WL max games: 2 - Chris Butler
Highest Hypertouch WL average score (3+ games): 179.38 - Chris Butler (8 games)
Highest scoring Hypertouch Weakest Link: 150 - Tom Cappleman (2021), Gevin Chapwell (2019)
For more stats see spreadsheet linked below.
TWO lowest scoring Weakest Links will be leaving the tournament this round. If there is a tie for lowest scores then margin of victory/defeat will be taken into account amongst tied players followed, if necessary, by total score in the tournament so far (see notes by matches).
