George Ford

George Ford This is genuinely terrifying

Chris Butler

Chris Butler I thought we were done with the 4 weakest links, eek

George Armstrong

George Armstrong Well I'm probably off home, but will take some solace that out of the 3 rounds I beat Prime on, one was an LNAFP, and another ended with add the solitary large :)

George Ford

George Ford Very happy with that, a few easy misses balanced out with a few really friendly targets... Hoping to cling on!!!

George Armstrong

George Armstrong Ok having seen the next round can everyone else score above 110 please thank you... I wouldn't wanna beat my Spoilage PB score of 3/200...

George Armstrong

George Armstrong What did I just say Jamie?...*nervously biting fingernails*...

Ben H

Ben H Have fun, George

George Armstrong

George Armstrong I hope you crash and burn in the series finals ;)

Chris Hare

Chris Hare I tried my best, but unfortunately I seem to have scored too many points. Can I have another go?

Matthew Tassier

Matthew Tassier Pipping Elliott by 3 points, Chris B is the Strongest Link for the 3rd time this year showing great form heading into the latter stages. Also, Kudos to Dave for handing Prime a defeat.

Matthew Tassier

Matthew Tassier The dramatic finish this round saw Matthew and George A overtake Ronan, Ben and Brendan in the final three rounds of their games to both be safe by 10 points and earn the questionable reward of a place in the Spoilage round. Jamie completes an impressive 9th top 20 finish while our other 3 departees have each achieved their highest WL numbers position. But Brendan, Ben, Ronan and Jamie you are the Weakest Links. Goodbye!

Brendan Whitehurst

Brendan Whitehurst Thanks as always Matthew. Great fun to play as always. Definitely didn't expect to make it this far. Good luck to the final 10. 🙂

Tourney round: Weakest Link Numbers Tournament 2025: Round 20 - Hypernasty

<< Round 19 - Touchdown | Round 21 - Spoilage >>

Notes from the organizer: The final 14 players have a tricky challenge to try to claim their places in the top 10 this year as in round twenty-one they will take on Apterous Prime in a Hyper Nasty format game. The large numbers range from the useless to the unwieldy, providing a real test of calculation and focus. Prime initially will choose 3 large numbers and max a lot of rounds, plus if you can't keep up he will switch to the arguably more difficult 1 large selection. And we're looking for 4 Weakest Links this round. That is nasty.

Some stats for this round:
Expected competitors: 14
Weakest Links required: 4
Historic average Hypernasty WL score: 142.02
Highest Hypernasty WL score: 190 - Elliott Mellor (2020,2023), Adam Latchford (2022), Dave Robjohns (2024)
Highest average score (this year's entrants): 169.25 - Dave Robjohns (4 games)
Most Weakest Links: 3 - Gevin Chapwell
For more stats see spreadsheet linked below.

FOUR lowest scoring Weakest Links will be leaving the tournament this round. If there is a tie for lowest scores then margin of victory/defeat will be taken into account amongst tied players followed, if necessary, by total score in the tournament so far (see notes by matches).
