![]() | Ian Volante Oh. |
![]() | George Ford Very that |
![]() | Jonathan Addison Had enjoyed scraping through the rounds, but alas it ends here. Score a 120 in practice, which could have been a 134 if I could have remembered solutions I'd not written down. Come game time: 94.

![]() | George Ford Jonathan you’ve pushed me into the next round with that and I’m very grateful!! Unlucky & still a valiant effort :) |
![]() | Jonathan Addison Looks like your winning this game for me and Maria now George ;) |
![]() | Matthew Tassier Elliott collects his 4th Strongest Link this year and completes a unique (I think) set of 3 Strongest and 3 Weakest Links in a single variant. |
![]() | Matthew Tassier George F. sneaks through again, alongside Jamie as they finish one point ahead of unlucky Hazel. The others falling short include Ian V. who survived longer than he has previously and newcomer Jonathan who bravely took the 4 large option here. So, Hazel, Ian, Jonathan and Mark you are the Weakest Links. Goodbye! |

![]() | Mark O'Regan Thanks Matthew - enjoyable as always! Looking forward to next year and best of luck to the remaining! |
![]() | Jonathan Addison Wait was 4 large not the right option here ;) |
![]() | Matthew Tassier It's certainly not the conventional option, but it's viable if you get a decent run. |
![]() | Tal Lessner 4 large is a pretty good option (used by some) when playing Rex or Prime here. It's probably a lower maximum, but the maxes are more obvious so it's a good option for the "don't be last" strategy required here. |
![]() | Chris Butler I only ever pick 4L in octolock, usually get some decent maxes and it's easiest to master due to the limited number of possibilities |
Notes from the organizer: For round 14 the task for the remaining players is to take on a challenge in Octolock format against Waldorf. With larges of 20, 30, 40 and 50 and only 5 numbers to work with, it can often be tricky to get anywhere near your target in this variant, and your opponent will chose 1 large number which may leave you a little short of options at times. The maxes of the games will vary quite a lot this round so a bit of luck as well as a lot of skill is required! Oh, and never forget to use that red number.
