Dave Kempshall Dave Kempshall & Sean D (USA) beat Fiona T & Gav Grave (Europe) 4&2

Dave Kempshall

Dave Kempshall Match 13 saw Team Europe dominate, but Team USA claw back the match from 3 down to all square with 3 holes to play. Consecutive hole wins from Florence and Dan meant Europe got back on track and secured the point in a match they were never behind in. This now makes the overall score USA 5.5 v Europe 3.5 after 9 completed matches. wp all.

Dave Kempshall US dominance continues in Match 14 with a 3&1 win to take the scores to USA 10.5 v 4.5 Europe. We're now entering miracle territory if Europe are to mirror real-life and win the cup. Just one more Fourball to complete until we enter the Singles. A lot can happen in the Singles (as the real tournament taught us at the weekend), but it's a massive ask for Europe to turn this around.

Dave Kempshall Match 15 ends with a USA win to conclude what can only be described as a drubbing on Day 1 & 2 for Team Europe. There is still hope though. The score is the exact reverse of how things stood in the real Ryder Cup heading into the Singles and the comeback was almost achieved. Singles will go live tomorrow. Score is Team USA 11.5 v 4.5 Team Europe.

Notes from the organizer: Day 2 - Foursomes

As we head to the afternoon, we see the 4th and final session of the team formats ahead of Day 3 singles.
Day 2 Foursomes will be played out over a Dogfight Letters Attack.

Match 13 - Matthew Brockwell & Damien McEvoy v Florence C-L & Dan Spinks
Match 14 - Adam Latchford & Colin Thompson v Tom Cappleman & Richard Barnett
Match 15 - Martin Thomas & Ian Volante v Matthew Tassier & Mark Jeary-Fairbairn
Match 16 - Dave Kempshall & Sean D v Fiona T & Gav Grace

Foursomes is a doubles match played using only one ball over 18 holes. This means each player will alternate and contribute to 9 holes each during the round which is divided as follows.

Team USA
Player 1 - will score for the team in rounds 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17.
Player 2 - will score for the team in rounds 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18.

Team Europe
Player 1 - will score for the team in rounds 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17.
Player 2 - will score for the team in rounds 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18.

A hole will be won if a player scores with a bigger word than their respective European / USA counterpart. If the scores match, the hole is halved.

As with all matches - Rounds 19 and 20 of the attack don’t count towards your ‘round’.

The team with the most hole wins after 18 holes picks up a point in the overall scoring. If the scores are level at the end of the match, the match is ‘halved’ with each team earning 1/2 a point.

Good luck.
