Notes from the organizer: We move to The Open, the ultimate test of a golfers mettle. High winds, shrubbery filled rough and weather hardened greens await.
World no.1 Tom C seeks a third major on the bounce, 4Aces are seeking a grand slam of 4th majors from 4 this season. In form players Florence, Matthew B and Richard D will all be harbouring hopes of glory… as will others.
The venue is Portrush on the coast of Northern Ireland and with decent conditions in R1 it is another opening round where ensuring you don’t fall out of contention is the primary aim (with some scope for our contenders to lay down an early marker).
