Tourney round: Apterous Vase: Qualifiers: Game 1
Notes from the organizer: And so we’re off and running!
The qualifying round is structured as follows: you’ve got 3 one-leg games against 3 different opponents. Win two and you’re through, lose two and you’re out. The six best “out” players (based on wins/point difference) will enter a 3-leg playoff for the last three group stage spots.
Since we need every game played before we can draw the next one, I’m setting individual ten-day deadlines for each round: the first is Wednesday 23rd August. Any game unplayed on the 24th will be recorded as a 75–0 loss (or win if you’ve made more effort. Remember to add me to any Aptomail threads for scheduling games).
One last thing: I'd like to give a wee shoutout to the four good lads who wanted to apply but were sadly just too good for us. Matty Artell, John Aziz, Brett Davids and Oliver C, we hardly knew ye. Maybe you'll be doing worse next year ;)
Anyway, draw's going doon the night. Should be about 10-ish but still TBD.
