Notes from the organizer: Congratulations for making the final 8!

The competition is now a straight knockout. I've allowed two weeks for your game - please let me know if you have a problem getting it played.

Reminder of the rules -

The aim is to get 4 pieces home.

A piece is home after three successful moves.

So to get all 4 pieces home you need 12 successful moves.


Rules -

You can only move one piece at a time.

To start a piece moving you need a max word (equivalent to throwing a 6).
The piece continues to move as long as you continue to score.

After 3 successful moves (a max word and any two other scoring words) the piece is home. You will then need another max word to start your next piece moving.

If, on your pick, your opponent declares the same word as you this is equivalent to them landing on you, and your piece is sent back to the start. i.e. you will need a max word (throw a 6) then two other scoring words to get that piece home. Note that the turn will still count as a move for your opponent if they have a piece in play.


The winner is first to get their four pieces home. In the event that neither player manages this, the winner will be the player with the most pieces home. If this is still a tie, then the winner will be the player who was first to get their last piece home, if still a tie, then the player with the highest score.
