So, qualifying will be set up shortly, with seeding based on your rating when I get a chance to check them all this afternoon / this evening. 16 groups (15 of 4 and 1 of 5) with everyone playing a round robin. Top two in each group will be heading to Qatar! |

Notes from the organizer: It’s the World Cup 2022 - Countdown style.
Following the fantastic format of the Premier League tournament devised by Bradley and hosted by George, this format will follow the World Cup proper with each of our 32 qualifiers being assigned a nation based on their rating and the FIFA World rankings as of November 11th.
If we get more than 32 entrants, we’ll have qualifying rounds to decide on who our 32 finalists are (format TBC depending on numbers).
It’ll be Champions League format (11-rounder) throughout with goals only scored for winning a round with a MAX (for clarity, if numbers rounds are impossible then whoever was closest (within 5) gets a goal.
All matches will be one-off, so no ‘best ofs’
Qualifying (if required) will take place through October and early November, with the tournament proper beginning on November 13th (see schedule below).
I will schedule games for the knockouts as and when both countries become confirmed, so we may make quicker progress.
