Tourney round: Aptolympics: Tokyo 2021: Event 17: Judo (Round 1)
Notes from the organizer: Event 17 in the Aptolympic calendar is the first of the fighting events. The 42 competitors will take to the field in 4 "weight categories" intended to provide everyone with a shot at a medal.
This event is conundrums based, so seedings will be based on performance in Basketball (Single Conundrums) up to and including 18th July. I'll then put people into 4 categories based on their win percentages.
Judo has a repechage in the Olympics, so I'll be incorporating some form of double elimination into this.
Additionally, Judo awards two bronze medals, so there will be 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals available in each "weight category" - so 16 medallists.
