Gary hasn't been around for a bit, so I'll replace his remaining games with John now. Ciaran, Mike and Jacob have been around a bit more so I'll leave it a while.

Dave Robjohns Hi all, commenting on this event as this should basically tag everyone involved in aptolympics.

Put simply, after misreading a deadline it transpires I have to now do 3 exams and write my entire thesis in the next 19 days. I like a frantic deadline, but this is somewhat pushing it :D

As a result, Aptolympics is pausing for now. Events that are already set up will run their course, and the rest I'll sort later in September.

Notes from the organizer: We kick off the Tokyo 2021 Aptolympic Games with an exciting event set to be making it's real Olympic debut later this month - 3 vs 3 Basketball!

It's a fast paced event where each team alternately gets chances to score past the other team under a shot clock. We're replicating that with single conundrums.

You will represent your 'country' by facing off with a single conundrum against all 3 members of another team, making each match a best of 9.

We will have a group stage featuring all 14 nations split into two groups. From this, 8 sides will make the knockouts, with each round lasting a week thereafter.

For the group stage, you have 5 weeks - until 14th August.
