Tourney round: Apto-Chess Championship: Chess World Cup: Second Round

<< Chess World Cup: First Round | Chess World Cup: Quarter-Finals >>

Notes from the organizer: We're into the second round — this is where we chuck in the top-seeded players. I'll draw the quarter-final ties after 6 of these games have been played.

If the result's tied between two players, the games are replayed with 10- and then 5-second rounds, then a normal 15-rounder, but ofc it stops when we find a winner. I'll add the deadlocked competitors to an aptomail thread for sending me their tie-breaker games. I've made a note of instructions to give them for setting up such games (it's not a format you can add here, so it needs to be done manually) in case they need it, so if you happen to be one of the players in question and I haven't included said instructions, I've just forgotten. Give me a wee nudge and I'll inform you as required.

No quote this time, because if I ever run a second (or third) championship, I'll have run out of chess quotes extremely quick. I'll spread them out a bit, maybe at the beginning of each tourney.

Danke schön!
