Thomas Carey genuinely considering going to the fox and hounds for this
Ben Wilson Genuinely hoping vaccine side effects stop kicking the shit out of me so I can actually be healthy enough to do this tomorrow.
Ben Wilson Hey all, I'll be online at about 12:50 to take 'ins' from everyone, game 1 should get going around 1:10pm. Entries will be open up until the start of game 1. :-)
Anthony Endsor Oops sorry, completely forgot about this and have now double booked myself for this afternoon, so will have to withdraw. Apologies for the inconvenience.
Ben Wilson Updates for the event can be found throughout the day here- https://greem.co.uk/cgi-bin/colive/tourney.py?tourney=ISCBINC |
Notes from the organizer: Well, the plan was to have I Can't Believe it's Not COLIN ( https://www.apterous.org/to_tourney.php?tourney=3329 ) in January and then, hopefully, regular COLIN in may when things reopened. Or rather, if things reopened. Which they haven't. Nonetheless, 36 people showed up to ICBINC in January so I figured 'what the hell, we may as well have one on the day COLIN would've been again'.
The format will be the same as last time- people play 8 9-rounders, you'll be paired against people on a similar number of wins to yourself throughout the day, the top 8 play a straight knock-out at the end of the tournament, the top 3 get actual physical prizes and discounted (not free, I'm not made of money) entry into COLIN XVII, which should hopefully take place in January 2022. A link to standings shall be available in the comments on this page on the day.
Games start at 1pm on Saturday 29th of May, please be on time and if you plan on playing, please actually show up. Everything should be finished by 5pm, and even though we can now go to pubs (maybe even inside by the end of May) I'll be astonished if anyone actually shows up to the Fox & Hounds afterwards (or better yet, plays the whole event inside/outside the F&H).
And no, there won't be a third virtual COLIN in September as by then, we'll hopefully be able to have actual face to face co-events.
See you all at the end of May, hopefully!
