![]() | Matthew Tassier Just to remind everyone, to score the maximum possible on a round you'll need to:
|
![]() | Rhys Benjamin If I do, for example, 9 x 75 + 100 - 2, is that better than 9 x 75 - 2 + 100? Just clarifying as Rex has gone the second way but I went the first way? |
![]() | Matthew Tassier Yes, you've gone up to 775 whereas Rex goes no higher than 773 so you get the full 20 points for that round. A foolish oversight from Rex. |
![]() | Matthew Tassier Five games down and it's Edward setting the pace and Fiona hitting the most stratospheric solve.
|
![]() | Matthew Tassier 9 games played, and I've grabbed top spot while Matty now has the highest peak.

|
![]() | Matthew Tassier 17 games played. Bradley is in at number 3 seed, Fiona holds off Sam thanks to her highest peak and some minor score corrections have taken place!
|
![]() | Matthew Tassier 20 games down now and Tom Carey is now the new number 3 seed as we see Tom and Tal taking our first two trips to the 93000s
|
![]() | Matthew Tassier Chris becomes the 3rd player to register 235 and may possibly have done enough to get a first round bye.
|
![]() | Matthew Tassier Final seeding table below. The top 6 players will receive a bye into round 2 of the knockout tournament. Our last minute entry, Atomic, didn't enter in time to play his seeding game so is placed at the bottom of the seeding list.

Notes from the organizer: This is the seeding round for the NORMAL numbers attack tournament that is part of Climb Every Mountain, a series of 3 knockout numbers tournaments played in Junior, Normal and Hyper formats.
It comes with a twist. If a round is tied then the points will be awarded to the player who has reached the target via the HIGHEST INTERMEDIATE TOTAL.
See the overall tournament page for rules clarifications: https://www.apterous.org/to_tourney.php?tourney=3368
Every player will be given a game against Apterous Rex in this seeding round. Scoring will be a bit different. If your intermediate peak is higher than Rex's then you will score double points for that round (i.e. 20 if it's an exact solve), but if it is lower than Rex then you will score half points (5 if it's an exact solve). If Rex beats you in a round then you will score 0 as is usually the case.
Players will then be seeded based on their adjusted scores with their highest intermediate peak across the whole game being the decider in case of ties.
After this round all players will enter the seeded knockout tournament.
