Sam Prouse Deadline is the 11th March

Piaras M Carney Could this possibly spark an idea for a loosely snooker-based format in which the winner of a round picks the next round until they lose, and so on? (possibly letters for reds and numbers for colours?)
Sam Prouse Would be a bit tricky to implement, but would be a good idea for a tournament, the highest player picking the next round. Maybe a Weakest Link style format as well *turns to Tass* :D

Sam Prouse another thing that needs sorting, this deleting comments thing :P
Sam Prouse John Beresford is the first player through to the second round with a 10-1 victory over Andy SC.
Sam Prouse Sarah Johnson is the second player to advance with a 10-0 victory over Piaras M Carney.
Sam Prouse Johnny Canuck advances with a 10-0 victory over Fiona T.
Sam Prouse Bradley Horrocks is the next player through to the second round with a 10-1 victory over Joseph Harrison
Sam Prouse Hazel Drury advances with a 10-0 victory over Anthony Endsor
Jason Larsen Hazel is so amazing!
Hazel Drury Thanks, Jason! Although, the fixture was a lot closer than the scoreline suggests.
John Beresford Can't say i'm a fan on this format at all. There's no fun in being 'paired' against a much lower-rated opponent and then twatting them over 10 games. It's counter-productive to everything, but apparently it's based around some snooker game? Sorry, but it's sucking like a vampire for me. The lower ranked players should have played the first to 10 between them, and likewise the higher-ranked players. Then, you have some sort of contest, but as it's stood so far it's been a slaughterhouse which has done nothing for anybody. xx
Sam Prouse tbh, i was thinking along similar lines as well. So if i run this tournament again, then there would def be a prelim round between the lower ranked seeds before. I think this would be better. That is if i run this again, which i probably will.
Andy SC I do agree with John and Sam but as I said during my game with John I was not caring about the final result as long as I was playing and enjoyed (which I did) then I am happy.

Sam Prouse Luke Johnson-Davies advances with a 10-0 victory over Jason Larsen.
Jason Larsen Well done Luke. I almost won one game too!
Luke Johnson-Davies You did indeed, well played throughout Jason!
Fiona T As a lower ranked player, I also enjoyed my matches. It's impressive to see the performance of the top players, and you feel like a winner when you steal the odd round! Whether my opponent got enjoyment from the matches I don't know :)
Sam Prouse Matty Artell advances to the second round with a 10-5 victory over 10th seed Spike Guthrie.
Tim Down ... including three max games, which is highly impressive.
Sam Prouse And 2 of them being double max games, so very very well played both.
Spike Nard Thanks for running- good luck to Matty. Hazel should be very wary in crucial conundrums!
Sam Prouse Matthew Tassier advances with a 10-0 victory over Emily Cox.
Sam Prouse Sean Fletcher is the 9th player to advance with a 10-1 victory over George Armstrong
Sam Prouse James Haughton advances to Round 2 with a 10-3 victory over Ian Volante.

Jason Larsen That is a shock!
Sam Prouse Tim Down advances to the next round with a 10-4 victory over Dan Byrom.
Sam Prouse Deadline is today.
