George Armstrong

George Armstrong In theory if you won you're first 10 games, would you be required to complete the remaining nine?

Sam Prouse

Sam Prouse nope, just the first to 10 goes through to the next round (Me and SC did a test of this, and at most 1 game may be left to play when someone gets to 10, but just because of a bug.)

Zarte Siempre

Zarte Siempre Could you give me a rough idea of the round schedule please?

If it's going to be like a week, then I'll probably pass, but if it's 2-3 per round I can probably manage it.

Sam Prouse it will def be 2-3 weeks per round, i'd imagine 3.

Sam Prouse

Sam Prouse seeing as the matches get longer, even though the players go down, i think 3 weeks will be right for every round

Tim Down

Tim Down Really had to think just now when it asked me whether I was sure I want to enter this tournament.

Sam Prouse

Sam Prouse Sign ups close 2 weeks from now, still plenty of time if you want one of those 11 remaining places.

Sam Prouse Sign-Ups are now closed. The draw for R1 will take place on Monday evening at 19:30.

Round 1 >>

Notes from the organizer: It's only a game, so put a real good fight...

Hello all, time to chalk up and get ready for this journey ahead, the only things that are missing are the cues and the baize, i say that, cause you'll need plenty of balls to win this tournament.

All the frames of this tournament will be Standard 9 Round games, and all the matches will be a best of X, equal to that of the real WSC.

R1: Best of 19
R2: Best of 25
QFs: Best of 25
SFs: Best of 33
F: Best of 35

The draw for this tournament will be done with seedings, so the top 16 players in the Pro Ranks when sign-ups closed will be drawn against the bottom 16. (Obvs this is depending on how many sign up, the maximum number of players will be 32 though).

I would recommend that if you sign up to make full use of Aptomail to decide with your opponent when to play. I appreciate that the matches are long, so i don't expect you to play them all at once (of course if you want to that is awesome). If you aren't going to be dedicated to playing your matches on time then i'd say not to sign up, or if you are not a full subscribed member. To those who are up for the challenge, i look forward to seeing you compete.

Any queries, feel free to ask.

I'm gonna be snookering you tonight...
