Notes from the organizer: Yep, it's back. You can put out second-rate performances if you so wish.
There's not really much to say here, other than as per the Carabao Cup (other energy drinks are available), the top players will get byes to rounds 2 and 3 (assuming we get that many players), and no more than 92 players may take part, but I would be astounded if we get that many. The first two rounds will be split into "North" (surnames A-M) and "South" (surnames N-Z) as per the real-life tournament. Seeding rules have now been abolished so this won't be a problem for rounds 1 and 2.
For those of you who don't follow the Carabao Cup, it's a very straightforward knockout tournament, where you either win or lose.
So, get signing up! I'll leave sign-ups open for a week, and then it'll be one week per round, so we should be done by early October.
