Zarte Siempre

Zarte Siempre The 24 Masters have been selected based on last year's method - the number in some sections has changed, but the categories are the same. They are listed below. Masters must accept their places by signing up officially on the event page as well as everyone else.

Following Ben's long-standing policy, any Master who has refused their invitation for 2 years running will not be reinvited. Any who choose to play as a non-Master will be eligible for invitation as a Master the following year. This year that affects 1 player, who was also affected last year - Dylan Taylor.

A handful of this year's invitees declined last year's invite however and will not be eligible next year if they decline again.

Preliminary Stage >>

Notes from the organizer: The Masters is back!

A little later in the calendar than usual due to Ben telling me he was going to do it and then... not - one of Apterous' premiere events is back for its 11th incarnation.

24 "Masters" of online, on screen, and on the piss at FOCAL events have been invited based on the happenings of 2017, and will be joined by qualifiers in an attempt to find out who is the ultimate of them all. With the exception of a slight caveat in the first round in which Masters appear, every round is drawn completely randomly - meaning big names can go out at any time.

Games will get longer as they go along, and round turnover is brisk - do not enter if you are not going to get your games played.

Aside from that, all are welcome providing you have had a paid up account at some point within the last 12 months (and if it's currently deactivated - you plan on reactivating it, obviously).

Bring it on...

Ran from: 1 July – 5 August 2018. Format: 15 Rounder. Matches: Best-of-3. Approved.
