Touchdown Jnr. is a variant themed around the idea of "replacement" like Touchdown, but with smaller selections like Junior.
Letters round: There are seven letters and any letter can be substituted for another. For example, the longest words from a selection like VLTEUAI would normally be 5s like ALIVE or VALUE, but in Touchdown Jnr. players can substitute the I for an O and declare OVULATE for 7. (Players do not have to state specifically which letter they are substituting; they can just enter the word as normal.)
Numbers round: The target is between 11 and 100, and players are given only 5 numbers to work with rather than 6. There is only one possible large number (10), and the small numbers are chosen from 1 to 9. The selection can include the same number repeatedly, so for example there might be three 7s.
Conundrum: A seven-letter conundrum is shown, and one letter must be substituted with another to produce the letters for an anagram. For example, if the conundrum was CRUORCX, the answer would be REOCCUR (with the X substituted by an E). All possible words are permitted as answers, so they might be plurals or obscure words.
