Andy SC

Andy SC I do not appear to have a game scheduled for this round, James.

Ian Volante

Ian Volante At what point do we nominate jokers? I'll have to use it on Aegilops unless that's gone already.

Jim B

Jim B I seem to remember nominating Spoilage for mine before I'd read the rules, so I'd like to change it, if that's a possibility?

Tricia Lockhart

Tricia Lockhart Hi. I did play my joker last round but I note that isn't added to my name. Was I wrong or forgotten? Not that I am a contender in any way - for some reason my computer or the game was playing up in earlier rounds but seems sorted now.

James Laverty

James Laverty Ian- You nominated before the tourney, and it was indeed for Aegilops (Round 11)

Jim- Sorry, but I cannot allow changes to joker rounds now the tournament has started. Spoilage is scored slightly differently if that helps matters.

Tricia- Because junior scores have not been completed yet, the joker hasn't been played.

Tricia Lockhart

Tricia Lockhart This wasn't a change. If you look in the blurb at the beginning of the last round it does confirm I was playing my joker. Mine is the final name of joker players.

Tricia Lockhart

Tricia Lockhart Oh - I have just read more carefully James - thank you for clarifying. my last comment is redundant - I was in too much of a rush to read carefully.

Jim B

Jim B No probs mate, it'll teach me to read the rules before jumping in next time!

Also, due to technical problems, Round VII games won't be up until tomorrow morning.

Tourney round: The Multiverse 2: Return Trip: Nasty

<< Junior | Goatdown >>

Notes from the organizer: Into the fifth round, and things are about to get NAS-TEHHH!!!!..

Last year, Marcus Hares was the victory of the Nasty round, but as he isn't taking part at the moment, the title is very much up for grabs.

I meant to ask Jason Larsen for this weeks numberwang while at CoHud, but due to all the excitement of a fantastic weekend, I didn't get a chance. I plan to ask him tomorrow. Only one person plays the joker card this week, and it happens to be the organiser of the tourney...

So, for the details of Round 3....

A tale of vwp jokers, as Sean Fletcher used his to jump to third in the table. But the main story has to be Matthew Brockwell, who not only won the round, but played his joker to perfection and now has an amazing 31 point lead at the top. It's still early days but it looks like he could be keeping his crown.

No pencils this time (If I'm mistaken please let me know), and Numberwang was 134, resulting in three people getting a bonus point. Heather Styles scored 133, with Jamie French and Martin Hurst both scoring 135, so well done all.

Current table: After recent events, I amcurrently in the process of deleting certain scores from the table, so it may still be slightly inaccurate. It will be fully correct in time for Round 6.

Matthew Brockwell- 109 (joker played)
Zarte Siempre- 78

Also, as last week had the first unplayed game of the tourney, I have one more announcement. If a player leaves three games in a row unplayed, I will stop scheduling matches and they will have to reapply.

That takes care of everything

Good luck one and all.
