Notes from the organizer: Round 6- Goatdown......
Last year saw Zarte Siempre and Frank Jones jointly win this round, only being one point from perfection.
This week, Numberwang was chosen by a close school friend of mine who I saw for the first time for a while.
So, Round 5 details- which might take a while...
Joint winners, with 148 a piece, were Thomas Cappleman and Barry Evans. Barry also used his joker for this round, and shoots up the leaderboard as a result. With it being a high scoring week, one mistake can prove fatal, and a disallowed word saw leader Matthew Brockwell flutter down the scores this week, and sees his overall lead slashed, to a still very impressive 13 points.
Again,no pencils iirc. Numberwang was 140, and after being one away last week, Martin Hurst was on the money this week to earn 2 bonus points. (I hope he hasn't been hacking my files!).
