The score sounds comprehensive, but it’s worth noting that Matt failed to max just 2 rounds and then didn’t act within a second to solve the conundrum as Tom achieved the game max. | Dave Kempshall And that's a wrap folks. In a tense and high quality final Mexico took a first half lead that looked ominous. However, Arthur's Argentina -seemingly inspired by what they saw in the first ever Apterous World Cup half time show that featured Black Lace, MC Hammer and Dave from Chas and Dave - came out firing in the 2nd half and levelled things at 1-1. Into stoppage time and Argentina threw men forward in search of a winner, but were caught on the break and the co-hosts capitalised to grab the title with a 2-1 win. VWP Tom, another day another title. WP too Arthur, no shame in making the final, knocking out Matthew B en-route and then losing to a last gasp goal against T-Cap. |

Notes from the organizer: And so we move to the finals and, with the standard rising, we will switch to 15-rounders to ensure we don’t have a lot of 0-0 draws.
Same scoring as always, you must win a round with a max to score a goal.
If games are drawn after 15 rounds a 5-rounder will be used to replicate ET and PENS.
I have set a deadline of 31st July, but that is to get all games (Quarters, Semis and Final) played and I’ll keep things moving as new fixtures emerge so please play your matches as early as possible.
