Ian Milller

Ian Milller I'm sorry for missing so many, I was just not feeling well for a spell. And the wonderful AI stuck me with XSOETRW in one round - IDK if it's common to get an impossible in this format

Dan Spinks

Dan Spinks Yeah, impossible selections are pretty common, normally with a q

Tourney round: APGA Tour 2026: T4: US Open - Round 1

<< T3: The PGA Championship - Round 4 | T4: US Open - Round 2 >>

Notes from the organizer: Apologies we’ve fallen a bit behind schedule. Still busy with work, but we’ll now attempt to play catch with some tighter deadlines (which, given each round is one game versus Prune, isn’t asking the earth)

Our third major of the season arrives and Tom C’s quest for the grand slam continues. After finishing runner-up in the opening tournament of the season, he won both of the first two major at the Masters and PGA Championship and now has his sights set on the US Open - of which he is, of course, also the defending 2025 champion.

Can anyone stop him? Tournament standings here -

We open with a Lockdown Jr. Letters Attack with scoring as follows:

7 letter word - Eagle
6 letter word - Birdie
5 letter word - Par
4 letter word - Bogey
3 letter word - Double Bogey
Worse - Triple Bogey

The pressure holes come early in R1 with holes 1, 2 and 3 offering the rarely seen Albatross. Any words beginning with a vowel in these rounds will score one shot better than the above scoring, so a 7 letter would get you that elusive -3.

Rounds 19 and 20 can be disregarded as always.

Good luck!
