Sean D I expect the majority are going to run into an impossible round within 4-5 rounds....

Fiona T this is a bit confusing...

Tourney round: APGA Tour 2026: T3: The PGA Championship - Round 3

<< T3: The PGA Championship - Round 2

Notes from the organizer: A brutal second round sees Tom C rise to the top with a -1 round leaving him on -9 with a healthy halfway lead.

Mike L is closest on 0 with Florence C-L and Matthew B both on +3. Someone needs an almighty effort to haul back our leader though.

A slight format change in the scoring for this round. The aim of the game is to score a birdie on every hole and to score a birdie on every hole you need to score at least 9 on every hole. If you dip below 9, declare an invalid word or no word at all, you will have failed and the rest of your game will count for nothing.

For example, if you successfully declare 9+ words up to and including round 10, but then fail in round 11, your score for the round will be -10 and rounds 11 onwards will all be given a par. There is only one other scoring criteria. If you successfully play a valid 12 letter word (whilst your round is active), then that hole will be deemed as being an albatross and the birdie scoring will continue.

Round 19 and 20 are disregarded as always no matter whether you’ve made it all the way through your round without dipping below 9.

Good luck.
