Welcome to the fourth edition of the People’s Choice Weakest Link. A tournament where any format goes, expect organised chaos and just about anything else you can think of.

For the tournament you are required to pick a format and a bot that will be used as one of the rounds in the tournament. You can pick any format that appears on the high scores page - https://www.apterous.org/statland.php?section=highscores - Please submit your choices to me (Andy SC) via Aptomail. Anybody who fails to submit a format and bot to me prior to the start of the first round will have a format and bot randomly selected for them.

After a bit of drama with the selection of an extra round last year there will be a difference with how this works. If any extra round is required at any point it will either be a Standard 15, Standard 9, Letters Attack, Numbers Attack or Conundrum Attack and a randomly selected bot.

Now here’s the rules on gameplay:
1. The lowest scoring player will be eliminated in each round.
2. If there is a tie for the lowest scoring player in any round then the overall tournament score will be taken into consideration.
3. If there is still a tie then everyone else will advance.
4. If at least half the players in any round tie for the lowest score then everyone will advance.
5. Everyone will get two games in Round 1 and Round 2. This is to allow everyone’s pick to be played in the tournament. For Round 1 and 2 players playing both games will be taken into account first over anybody that plays just 1 or 0 of the games.

Round 1 will start on the 11th May. Round 2 will start on the 13th May. Round 3 will start on the 15th May. Each after that will start the following day from the previous one as long as there is at least one person already advancing to the next round. Each round will have a one week time limit. Players are encouraged to play their games at the earliest opportunity. I’ll add games as quickly as possible when possible. So please keep an eye out for any games that you might have to play.

Please try and play games in one sitting. It will be a player's responsibility to let me know if they are having an issue with playing the game in one sitting. A points deduction might be applied (at my discretion), if I'm not made aware of any issue a player might be having with playing the game in one sitting.
