Notes from the organizer: DEAD DOWN. You will play a singular mocktorun - and your goal is to declare as many words that were purged in any dictionary update. They can have been purged at any time whatsoever - and you will be scored accordingly (a dead 9 is worth 18 points).
However - if you declare a word that is currently valid - you will be penalised by however many points that has scored.
Numbers + Conundrums count for absolutely nothing, play them however you want. Even if there was a valid 9 there (phentole/telephone) it's just easier for me to completely ignore.
Allow me a bit of time to actually score these accurately - if you want to write what you think your final score is in the game at the end then that'd be welcome! Good luck!
Runs from: 1 – 31 March 2026. Format: Mocktorun. Matches: One-off. Approved.
