Welcome to the newest gameshow themed tournament on Apterous - THE FLOOR!!!

PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION!!!

Here’s how It will work:

1 - Players will be randomly placed onto a fictional 9x9 grid (or similar size to fit the number of entrants).

2 - However, instead of a nominated specialist subject (like the TV version) each player will have a format attached to them which they will have picked themselves.

3 - One of the players will be randomly selected to battle it out in a duel against another player.

4 - The randomly selected player will then pick a player adjacent to them and will then duel against that player in the format that was picked by the player they’ve challenged.

5 - In each duel the two players will play a game against Apterous Prune with the highest scoring player winning the duel. The lowest scoring player is eliminated. There will only ever be one duel going on at any time

6 - If the player being challenged wins, they will inherit the format of the player they duelled against.

7 - At this stage the player that wins the duel gains their opponents square or any other territory their opponent had and can do one of two things. Firstly, stay on and pick another player adjacent to them to duel against or go back to ‘The Floor’ until they have to duel again

8 - If they go back to the floor, another player will be randomly selected (one that has not duelled so far if possible) and the process from before will be repeated.

9 - Once there are two players left, they will duel it out in a Best-of-3. First two matches will be in whatever formats they have attached to them at that stage. The third will be a randomly selected format that has not been selected.

Upon signing-up you are required to pick a format from the following list: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Gdpss5YnIfV-qRjMOIeIh1K_bll2tvyZ3d8tyFZHR2s/edit?gid=0#gid=0 and state your chosen format in the comments section. Before picking your format, check to see if anybody else has picked the format you were going to pick as each format is only allowed to be picked once.

As there are to be many rounds, you will have at least one full day to play each game from when it is added, so please keep an eye out if you have a game to play. I will send out Aptomails when a new round is ready to go so it makes it somewhat easier. GAMES ARE TO BE PLAYED IN ONE SITTING - if there is an issue with playing the game then please let me know. If somebody does not let me know if there is an issue with playing the game and if the game is not played in one sitting (i.e. logging off Apterous and on again after a game starts) and i’m not made aware, it will be at my discretion as to what happens in terms of a punishment.

Sign-ups will close on 13th February or when 81-players sign-up. Whatever comes first.
