![]() | George Ford Ok I can live with missing this :) |
![]() | Adam Nicholas Jones Snap. Good luck all. |
![]() | Dan Spinks only 13 people have ever maxed a berserk NA and 3 of them are in this. anything could happen |
![]() | Tom Cappleman 2 not gettable dead on, and 2 tricky ones unsolved. Very pleased with my round 3. Good luck Dave and Elliott |
![]() | Dave Robjohns Definitely fortunate to have a 200 max possible and low targets aplenty. Kinda wrote my game off after being annoyed to miss R2 so that probably helped me relax and finally get past that pesky 4121 barrier!! Best of luck Elliott |
![]() | Elliott Mellor It sucks to lose because Plum randomly decided to solve one near the end, but after a couple of second place finishes I think the win was more than due for Dave. Congratulations.
|
![]() | Elliott Mellor s been a pleasure. Enjoy your glory Dave - it is richly deserved! |
![]() | Matthew Tassier And it's all over! With the final being incredibly tight and all 3 players posting great scores on this tricky challenge, it could easily have gone any way. But, finishing in 3rd place, incredibly for the 4th time, it's Tom who was still just 10 points short of this year's champion's score. Then in second place, losing out so unluckily on margin of victory and achieving a tournament points total that only he himself has ever beaten, it's Elliott. |
![]() | Matthew Tassier But, holding his nerve after a shaky start to his game and stepping up that one place from his previous 2 runners-up finishes, this year's impressive CHAMPION of Weakest Link Numbers is Dave! Congratulations to this year's Strongest Link. A great big thank you as always to everyone who took on the challenge this year, and I hope to see you all (including Elliott!) next year when we do all this again. GOODBYE! *disturbing wink* |

![]() | Tom Cappleman Thanks Matthew. Was nice to have my first non-spoilage final, where I could go in knowing I actually had a chance. Very unlucky Elliott, and well done Dave on a very strong run in on the last few rounds of the tournament |
![]() | Chris Butler Congratulations Dave! Unlucky to Tom and Elliott. I think the 3 most deserving definitely reached the final and it was unbelievably close between the 3 of you! Thanks again Matthew, hope to see you all next year |
![]() | Dave Robjohns Thanks guys! Was surprised at the narrowest survival stat - have felt a bit ropey in patches this tourney, pleased to hit top form at the business end!
|
![]() | George Ford Woah super close!! Awesome!! Congrats Dave :) |
![]() | Eoin Jackson Congrats to all three (at the very least) of Dave, Rob and the Johns... What an exciting end to a great tournament! |
Notes from the organizer: This year, for the first time, the final round is going to be played in Berserk format. So that's a ridiculously short 1 second thinking time, and your opponent is Plum, who certainly won't score many points but will of course test your skills out with his 6 small selection - and if it looks tricky, do you try to change your declaration in that single second?
Let's check out the contenders:
Elliott Mellor - Cumulative points 4074, 5 times Strongest Link, 10 max games, Narrowest survival 0 points (Round 18), Berserk PB 200, 4th final appearance, Tournament best: Winner (2020), All-time points 36775.
Tom Cappleman - Cumulative points 4055, 3 times Strongest Link, 6 max games, Narrowest survival 0 points (Round 23), Berserk PB 200, 4th final appearance, Tournament best: 3rd (2016, 2019, 2024), All-time points 38179.
Dave Robjohns - Cumulative points 3973, 2 times Strongest Link, 7 max games, Narrowest survival 14 points (Round 7), Berserk PB 200, 3rd final appearance, Tournament best: 2nd (2021, 2023), All-time points 23622.
So, who will prevail? With all 3 players having plenty of experience at the pointy end of these tournaments, it's looking like an unpredictable final round. Could Elliott's previous tournament victory give him an edge this time round, or will one of his opponents finally earn that virtual trophy to place proudly on their virtual mantelpiece?
The highest scoring player in this round will be declared the 2025 champion. If there is a tie then margin of victory/defeat will be taken into account amongst tied players followed, if necessary, by total cumulative score in the tournament (see notes by matches below).
