![]() | Tom Cappleman So the random pick to replace a round where too many people failed to score is ... this?!? |
![]() | Elwin Carlos Яйца |
![]() | Richard Decker Yeah I can't help but feel that this will be another large set of 0s... |
![]() | Matthew Brockwell I think a more apt penalty would be to have whichever bot was originally chosen replaced with Prune for a rerun of the same variant! |
![]() | Martin Hurst Spin it again Andy! :) |
![]() | Sean D Could be looking at a top 5 finish in this round |
![]() | Adam Latchford Living for the carnage. People still might go out in this round by simply not playing their game! |
![]() | Robin M In my opinion you need games where people have equal knowledge of the subject requirement then obviously use skill to score as highly as possible. Russian imo with respect is a step too far. |
![]() | Richard Decker I think with a little bit of pre-game research if you're not familiar with Cyrillic you could easily come up with 2-4 letter words here, particularly as most people here are going to be fairly strong dealing with phonotactics generally. The issue is that it's against Prime I would say |
![]() | Robin M Thing is you shouldn’t have to research play the game and that’s that. That’s why I say certain variants should be exempt from weakest link. |

![]() | Ravi Choudhary BTW, well played Messr Thomas on your pencil. |
![]() | Florence C-L 14/28 zeroes reached already... |
![]() | David Holmes It does seem to me to be a bit silly and not much of a test of skill to be trying little 2 and 3 letter words and hoping to luck out with Prime randomly deciding not to offer a word in one of the rounds. But it's all looking academic anyway given the number of 0 point games. |
![]() | Elwin Carlos Anyone scoring more than zero here should be considered an insider threat... 🙈 |
![]() | Adam Latchford David: correct strat is probably when you're declaring first to declare a 2 or a 3 you know is in, and when prime is declaring first try and get some guesses of higher word lengths and then match prime and hope for the best. Also remembering what are vowels/consonants and what some of the letters sound like does give a degree of skill to a round like this. Would have been fun against nude/waldorf! |
