![]() | Adam Latchford matt oc / mike can have one day extension as i'd missed their games (was away longer than expected so had a non apto user set this up with very little explanation of how to do so tbf) |
![]() | Johnny Canuck May I have an extension to midnight my time (5am yours) as well please? |

![]() | Adam Latchford Got it thanks! Updating scores quite a bit later today but it's been added to tournament |
![]() | Dan Byrom Is there a reason why the window for playing games is so narrow? I might as well retire now because I didn't log on for a couple of days. |

![]() | Adam Latchford Because there's 50 people playing and it makes it way harder to mark and track the tournament winner if there's people playing catch up and several rounds behind is the answer. I'm happy to look into extending windows in future if that's unamimous but as I've mentioned a few times - can ask for extensions |
![]() | Dan Byrom yeah fair enough I understand - and appreciate the effort going into marking and tracking - I'll keep playing for fun anyway! I think that having new rounds start every two days but each round running for say five days means you can mark/track at the same rate but gives players a bit more of a buffer to play them. |
![]() | Adam Latchford I'll take it on board and see other suggestions once this iteration is over. Maybe having games every 3/4 days where they're all played within that time instead of games every 2 days works also |
![]() | Dan Spinks I like the 2 days. it can be really boring waiting for the odd 1 or 2 people to complete a round in other tourneys (something which I am sometimes guilty of as well, sorry everyone in MTO). personally I'd scrap extensions or apply penalties to getting them but that may not be a great idea. and missing a round is certainly not tournament ending for anyone, especially those rated around the 2k mark. you've literally only missed out on about 5% of your overall target by not scoring in a lockdown 15 |
![]() | Joseph Henry I was away this weekend and did not log on, so apologies from me |
Notes from the organizer: Up next is a throwback to 2020 with a good old Lockdown. Adrian Fletcher, Dan Spinks, Gerry Tynan and Ross Allatt have played wildcards this round - good luck all!
