Tourney round: Apto Pro Baseball: Sign-Up Page

Notes from the organizer: I have to say, I'm surprised baseball's not on the list of sports made into a tourney yet. Consider this issue rectified. Presenting Apto Pro Baseball!

Everyone who joins will be split into two leagues — Sponge & Soap — with two divisions for each if we get enough players. Baseballers play pretty often, so you'll be playing multiple games against each player in your division, and some against the others too. Then postseason to decide division, league and World Series champions u know how it go.

For the 9 innings, each game will be 9 rounds. In terms of Countdown sports scoring, it falls somewhere in the middle between the "round win+max=goal" of football and the "just play the game as well as you can and I'll take care of everything else" of Formula 1. The specifics are on the spreadsheet, but in <20 words: winning a round scores you 1 run, but there are bonus runs available too.

One requirement upon joining: put the "yu" in "yakyu" by picking your own team name & colours. It can be anything: [surname/location/fictional location] + [noun of your choice] is a decent guideline (e.g. Glasgow Glaswegians or Hobbiton Proudfeet). Baseball is a team sport, after all. Feel free to chuck your team details in the comments :D

I think that's all. Remember: relax your shoulders, bend your knees, keep your elbow up, and if the ball is heading for your face, just protect yourself with the bat.
