Perry Sarb duh perry make sure you paste the spreadsheet in! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/10G56qa5Xiviv7WsdKKiyqdzRvK4kMSo1_63qyXfAu8w/edit?gid=433572095#gid=433572095

Also I should clarify, the upper bracket winner doesn't win the whole thing; they'll have to play the lower bracket winner afterwards.

Tourney round: Fudgeathon: Letters: Upper Bracket

<< Conundra: Group D | Letters: Lower Bracket >>

Notes from the organizer: We’ve got our eight! It’s just three wins to the final for them — if they lose a game, they’ll drop into the Lower Bracket.

The whole thing is seeded — 1/8, 4/5, 3/6, 2/7, just like on the telly.

Our h(opefully gr)ateful 8 are sorted first by group position, so our three group winners are:
1. Trevor Potts (10 pts, 653 for, 191 agst) who equalled his PB (164) against Meredie Cohen
2. Adam Latchford (10 pts, 542 for, 299 agst) who set his own (137) against Sarah Binns
3. Thomas Carey (8.5 pts) who declared my personal favourite word of the tourney in FUNGOID
In the second places:
4. Matty Artell (8 pts) who blasted through all his games in the space of just four days
5. Meredie Cohen (6.5 pts) who has proved to be a real dark horse so far, sitting 4th in the tourney standings
6. Adam Dexter (6 pts) who offered BULGES and BONERS in two successive rounds
And finally, the best two players in third:
7. Ian Volante (6.5 pts) who for some reason had (swatter) disallowed, what's that about OED?
8. Colin Thompson (6 pts) who scraped two of his wins by single-digit margins

Pipped at the post in 9th place is Ravi Choudhary, who was actually three points away from beating Adam L and therefore securing an upper bracket spot, but he enters down below instead.

The dates next to the games are, of course, their deadlines, but I’m willing to allow some short extensions.
