Richard Decker Hi, sorry if this is a very silly question, but how does the Premier League/Championship scoring work? Just so I know what I'm aiming for (aside from finding long words...)

Andy SC @Richard - In this you score a goal for getting a max that your opponent doesn't get. For the numbers rounds, if the target is not possible, then it's whoever is closest as long as you are not more than five away from the target.

George Armstrong Yeah just whatever counts as a "max" by normal standards. Easy to get confused - there's probably very few selections that you can only get between 6 and 10 away on as a max

Andy SC @David - In reality, they're not extra games. When setting up the fixtures each pot had 13-players so it required a few games to be labelled as such in order that everyone had two games against players in the same pot as them.

Notes from the organizer: Welcome to the 2025 Apterous Champions League.

Change of format this year to replicate the format used in real life. The tournament will consist of one league table instead of groups. Players were divided into four pots of 13 players each and assigned 8-games in total (Playing 2-players from each pot). Players that are representing teams that are from the same nation have been kept from playing each other in the League phase.

Scoring with each game will work the same way as the Premier League and Championship tournaments that are also run on here. Feel free to ask if you are unsure how that works.
