Notes from the organizer: Day 8 is a Junior Conundrum Attack
Three scoring options are:
Option 1: Conundrums start with a value of 30-points and decrease by 1-point for every 0.3 second increment over 1-second it is solved in. 1-second or under is worth 30-points, 1.1-1.3 is worth 29-points, 1.4-1.6 is worth 28-points and so on
Option 2: 3 bonus points for every time a letter appears in the same place in the selection as it does in the solution when you correctly solve it.
Option 3: Minus 10 points for every time there are repeated consecutive letters in the solution regardless if you solve it correctly or not
