Notes from the organizer: Welcome to The Weakest Link. In this tournament you will embark on a haphazard journey through a totally random selection of named apterous formats with a new round starting every day (mostly). No format is off the menu so expect the unexpected.
A new feature of this year's tournament is that you will get to Pick Your Own bot to play against each round. Round formats will be chosen 8 at a time and you will have to allocate the 8 standard bots to the 8 rounds according to your preference.
The lowest scoring player is knocked out each round. If there is a tie then the tiebreak will be the total player score over all tournament rounds so far. If this is also tied then there will be multiple eliminations. However if at least half of the round's players tie for the lowest score (quite possible on a ridiculously difficult round) then everyone will qualify for the next round. Once we are down to the final 2 players there will be a head-to-head game in a random format to decide the champion.
The first round will be a standard 15 rounder to ease you all in, starting on Monday 22nd April. Subsequent rounds will start every day after that with a 3 day gap after every 8 rounds for players to pick their bots once more. Rounds will have a three day time limit, but you are advised to play your game at the earliest opportunity due to the overlapping nature of the rounds. Do not rely on aptomail warnings of rounds nearing expiration. I will add new games at my earliest opportunity, but it will be your responsibility to keep a look out for your game being available should time be short.

NOTE : Games should be played in a single sitting (barring unforeseen problems), after all there's no passing and coming back later in The Weakest Link. This also helps makes things easier for me to keep track of.
