Fiona T haha I should have gone for that - judged mine very wrong!

Wesley Barton

Wesley Barton I went for it but got too greedy: apparently WISPED is just in CSW

Dave Kempshall

Dave Kempshall Damn, left myself a conundrum for a pretty decent effort and missed it EACHWHERE

Sean D

Sean D QQ lowest margin of victory.... is a tie-break conundrum win a lower margin of victory than a 3 point win?

Chris Hare

Chris Hare Interesting question. My initial response is no, because conundrums give you ten points whether you need them or not, and it feels as though that should be the penalty for not beating Nude within the 15 rounds. I'm open to being convinced the other way, though, if someone wants to make a particularly compelling case.

Tourney round: The Twelve Games of Chris-mas: Game Three

<< Game Two | Game Four >>

Notes from the organizer: It's time to play Apterous Nude. If you wish to play Apterous nude, that's fine too, but it might get a little chilly.

For this game, I'd like you to beat Apterous Nude in an ordinary, standard, common-or-garden 15-Rounder by scoring in as few rounds as possible. Fewest scoring rounds wins. (If you win your game after it goes to a tie-break, the solved tie-break conundrum counts as a round in which you scored.) In the event that players are tied for number of scoring rounds, preference will be given to the player with the lowest margin of victory. If Nude beats you, you'll score nothing at all for this round, unless you qualify for the BTP.

The BONUS TOURNAMENT POINT for this game will be awarded to any player who fails to max any round (including the conundrum), but offers valid declarations/solutions in all of them (except the conundrum).
