As with qualifying, it’s Champions League format (11-rounder) throughout with goals only scored for winning a round with a MAX (for clarity, if numbers are impossible then whoever was closest (within 5, or 10) gets a goal.
All matches will be one-off, so no ‘best ofs’
Here’s a summary of the tie-break rules for the group stages for teams finishing on the same amount off points:
1. Overall goal difference
2. Overall goals scored
3. Points in matches between tied teams
4. Goal difference in matches between tied teams
5. Goals scored in matches between tied teams
6. If all of the above fails to separate teams, then a penalty shootout (5 rounder) will be played to decide on who qualifies / tops the group.
Any unplayed games will be allocated as a 0-0 draw unless someone has clearly tried to play the fixture more than their opponent, so please include me on Aptomails trying to arrange this. All non-played game results decisions will be done at my discretion to maintain the integrity of the tournament.
Good luck everyone.
