Philip Aston Is there a Standard 15 event?

Dave Robjohns There won't be a knockout Standard 15 event due to time constraints (no chance of getting multiple rounds done on time and I won't do a live one) but it will likely feature in an event either vs prune or vs people but in small groups where teammates' results are added

Dave Robjohns Planning to cap this at 24 players (8 teams of 3) so looking for 3 more players before we kick off on Friday :D

Dave Robjohns

Dave Robjohns We have reached 25 (one extra as Damian is playing bots only) - thanks everyone!

I made the massive error of not bothering to click "accept" when people signed-up, and then closing sign ups, meaning I lost the entire list... "Signed up: No-one"! Very fortunately had it open in a tab on my phone from a couple of hours ago so have just about styled it out... always accept your tourney entrants, kids.

IRL the opening ceremony will be happening today (28th), so I'll be getting the schedule up at some point later and off we go :) Best of luck, everyone!

Andy SC Have we not been provided a link for a spreadsheet yet or am I missing something?

Dave Robjohns

Dave Robjohns Correct, no spreadsheet yet. More extensions to come as there’s still a bunch of events I intend to run

Tourney round: Commonwealth Games: Birmingham 2022: Sign-ups

Birmingham 2022: Event 1: 3x3 Basketball >>

Notes from the organizer: ̶A̶p̶t̶o̶l̶y̶m̶p̶i̶c̶s̶ ̶i̶s̶ ̶b̶a̶c̶k̶!̶ After visits to Tokyo in 2020 & 2021 for Olympic multi-sport mayhem the budget has been cut and in 2022 we wind up in... Birmingham!

The Commonwealth games offers a chance to try out some different sports (cricket, lawn bowls, netball) in their tenuous apterous form and participants will get to represent a totally different array of countries.

The two aptolympics events have been lengthy events with over 60 events each, whereas this will be short and sweet - the whole tournament matching the commonwealth games at 11 days of competition (29th July - 8th August). As a result, the vast majority of events will be vs bots, with a few favourite live events from the aptolympics returning to bring that competitive edge. There will likely be a couple of human vs human events that aren't live too.

For the first time, there'll be a tactical element within your teams as for some events, teams will choose which "athlete" to tackle which event.

I'm still finalising the schedule, so the spreadsheet is not available yet - will add it to the comments in the coming days.

Please sign-up here if you're interested in the non-live events, and feel free to drop a message if you have any specifics (e.g. bots only, numbers only, spoilage only(?!)).
