Tourney round: Apterous Fast Vehicle Championship: Sign-Ups

Sign-Ups Proper >>

Notes from the organizer: Welcome to first rendition of the Apterous Fast Vehicle Championship-the Race To Nowhere tourney with some of my more stupid ideas chopped off

PREMISE-In short, I use motorsports and racing circuits as a basis for an Apto tourney. Each round has three games ('races') in it using a variety of variants. Those who get the highest score in each are awarded points (see below). Person with most points wins

POINTS-
1st-20 6th-10 11th-5
2nd-17 7th-9 12th-4
3rd-15 8th-8 13th-3
4th-13 9th-7 14th-2
5th-11 10th-6 15th-1

TEAMS-Each person who joins will be added to a team. Cut off will be thirty people, and each team will have three. All table points from the three will be added together and go towards totals in a separate Team Championship. If you wish to join with specific people, let me know. Otherwise, I'll allocate. Do you race for you or your team? A name and sponsor will be required-brownie points for the ones that makes us giggle the most.

BONUSES-Corner name bonuses are gone was a bad idea (VALE and BARN had me screaming), but a max-game will score you 10 extra table points. To encourage competitiveness, in the second race of each round, all who finish in positions 6-12 will get 10 added onto their score in the third race.

CALENDAR-Much the same as last time-see the link at the bottom. However, there is a new language round. Off to Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium with three languages to choose from-French, German, or Dutch, for one LA in that language. Each team chooses which language to use, and all members use that. I'll arrange via Aptomail closer to the time. Also, the Anglesey Coastal circuit replaces Pembrey because it's better

SACK JEARS TROPHY-The Jack Sears Trophy in BTCC is for drivers who've never finished with a podium. The Sack Jears Trophy for drivers outisde the top 75 of the ProRanks on 21st February. In short, this will take the final standings, remove all in the top 75, and then award points in this competition based on those who are left. The points here are the same as they are for the main race.

Tom Cappleman is the defending champion from the pilot event. We start with Donington Park National on Friday 11th March (or earlier if the numbers are reached). Round posted each Friday until the finale at Brands Hatch in June. Hope to see you there!
