Stu Harkness 12 folk sconned in the puss.

Chris Hare

Chris Hare Round Four complete!

Florence's prognostication came true (figuratively speaking) as the combination of Instant conundrums and my optimistic assessment of what constituted an achievable target sent 12 snowballers trudging wearily towards the pavilion. Waldorf did get a new PB, though, so that's nice.

We say goodbye to: (deep breath)

Tourney round: Apterous Winter Olympics 2022: The Snowball Fight: Round Four

<< Round Three (No, Really, I Mean It This Time) | Round Five >>

Notes from the organizer: To buzz or not to buzz, that is the question.

Your opponent is Apterous Waldorf, who is looking to improve upon a personal best of 37. Your target, however, is a much loftier 101.

For convenience, I reproduce the rules: "All you need to do to progress in the tourney is meet or exceed that game’s target score (which will be listed on that round’s page)... with one small caveat: every letters round in which you fail to declare a valid word, every numbers game in which you fail to reach a valid target, and every conundrum round in which you buzz in with an incorrect answer counts as a strike with a snowball. If you are struck by (a) more than 3 snowballs in any single game or (b) a total of [39] snowballs across the whole event....then you’re out!"
