Chris Hare

Chris Hare Before this kicks off tomorrow, an announcement: there will be additional team medals dished out for this event.

For each discipline, each team's second- and third-best individual scores will be added together to give a team score. These will then be combined across all six disciplines; medals will be awarded to all participating members of the top three teams overall.

Good luck!

Fiona T This is very confusing :) Six freestyle events - but is the goal to come 2nd/3rd rather than first?

Chris Hare For the team event, think of it as you would diving, or ice skating, or somesuch: I'm deleting each team's highest and lowest scores and adding up what's left over to give a team score for each discipline. These are added up to give the team score for the whole event.

The individual medals will naturally be awarded to the people who have the three highest combined scores across all six disciplines.

Chris Hare Freestyle Skiing complete!

Dave Robjohns made a statement of intent by maxing his Omelette, but it wasn't enough to overcome Tom's omnicompetence. Latin turned out to be a canny pick for the Big Air, with both Tom and Adam outscoring everyone else.

Congratulations to our medallists:

GOLD: Tom Cappleman (NED)
SILVER: Dave Robjohns (SWE)
BRONZE: Adam Latchford (SWE).

Chris Hare Freestyle Skiing (Team) complete!

The USA and South Korea both demonstrated impressive team consistency; despite neither claiming a medal in the individual event, both nations made it to the podium here.

Congratulations to our medallists:

GOLD: USA (Tassier, Bateen, Thomas & Thomas)
SILVER: Sweden (Robjohns, Latchford, Oldham & T)
BRONZE: South Korea (Volante, Peak, C-L & Kempshall).

Tourney round: Apterous Winter Olympics 2022: Freestyle Skiing: Aerials

<< Cross-Country Skiing | Freestyle Skiing: Moguls >>

Notes from the organizer: Time to do some freestyle skiing, which, I'm reliably informed, comprises aerials, moguls, cross, half-pipe, slopestyle and big air. That sounds a bit energetic.

You'll have six different games to play for this, and your final score will be a straight sum of those game scores. The first five (Unlimited 15, Aegilops 15, Omelette 15, Octorock 15 and Touch 15) are the same for everyone. For your sixth game, you'll be asked (by the Organiser, by aptomail) to nominate a Normal 15-round game in any of the many lexicons available on Apterous, with the sole condition that the lexicon you choose cannot be English. So, no English, and no CSW either.

If you do not choose a lexicon before the deadline, you'll be assigned a French 15-rounder. Please do not use the comments on this page to make your choice.
