Sean set the score to beat on day one; it looked as though he might lead from start to finish until Matthew Tassier turned up with a score that's good enough for sixth on the Finnish 15 High Score table to break Norwegian hearts and claim the USA's first gold.

Notes from the organizer: Nordic Combined combines ski-jumping and cross-country skiing, so you might be expecting to face a similar combination of events.

You'd be wrong, because it's time for a Finnish 15-Rounder, you lucky, lucky people. It's the closest thing we have to Norwegian; that's my argument, and I'm sticking to it.
