Notes from the organizer: The Phil Collinge Memorial Tournament for Seniors (formerly The Apterous Seniors Championship) is open to all players aged 40 or above as of 31st December 2021, therefore this year we are welcoming those born in 1981.
Continuing as a a straight knock-out, all matches prior to the Quarter-Finals will be Best of 3. From the Quarter-Finals onwards, all matches will be best of 5.
As last year there will be just 4 seeds, all of whom will be treated equally. The first seed is the defending Champion (Martyn Simpson), the other three are those with the highest Pro-Rank on Monday 27th December 2021 (Tim Down at #20, Neil Collins at #24 and Patrick Thompson at #27).
Entries closed on Friday 31st December 2021 with the draw taking place in aptochat soon after (thanks to Fiona and Tal for their assistance!).
Two weeks will be allowed for each round (a few days extra for the first round) . There are fixtures up for both the first round and the second round - the second round matches can go ahead immediately.
