Tourney round: LNAFP (SNAFP too!): Sign-ups
Notes from the organizer: LNAFP (SNAFP too!)
LNAFP (Large numbers are for pussies!) was a phrase coined by Callum Todd, and gives kudos to those solving a numbers round while not using the larges on offer. (SNAFP is a variation on the theme loved by 4L pickers where the solution doesn't use the small numbers)
In this tournament you will play five numbers games. Scoring is as normal, but in addition you will receive bonus points where your solution does not make use of either the large numbers (i.e. uses only the small numbers in the selection), OR where your solution uses only the large numbers and ignores the smalls.
Monday - Nude 1L (one bonus point for a LNAFP)
Caesar - Velvet 2L (two bonus points for a LNAFP/SNAFP)
Wednesday - Prime 3L (three bonus points for a LNAFP/SNAFP)
Thursday - Rex 4L (four bonus points for a SNAFP)
Friday - Prune - you choose for each round - the bonus for a LNAFP/SNAFP solution will be the number of larges in the selection.
You need to ensure you make the correct pick for each round. An incorrect pick on a scoring round will cost you a -5 point penalty, and forfeit any bonus. Note that Caesar and Prime will switch to 1L if they get more than 10 points ahead - in this case the bonus on offer for their pick will switch too - but you still need to make the correct pick for the round.
Your score for the game will be the score against the bot, plus any bonuses. Note that you will still be awarded the bonus if you have a correct LNAFP/SNAFP solution which the bot has beaten - so think about your tactics if you don't have the exact solution!
Assuming timely approval, signups will run till 21 November, with the five games starting daily on 22 November- each game round will remain open for a week.
