George Armstrong

George Armstrong Ooc will we find out who chose which round once they go live? I wanna know who to hunt down once Spoilage rears it's ugly head...

Andy SC

Andy SC Yes, George. I shall mention it in the "notes from the organizer"

Dan Spinks

Dan Spinks I'm happy to get together in a group to ensure that all 5 spoilage options are in the running

George Armstrong

George Armstrong Hey no letting anyone know your format choice ;)

Andy SC

Andy SC No hinting at what you might pick anywhere :) Spoils the advent calendar element.

Andy SC

Andy SC In addition to all that has been said, all games are against Prune

Dave Robjohns

Dave Robjohns Can the pool of formats (and then also the ones selected) contain repeats? 24 Mocktoruns anyone?!

Andy SC

Andy SC Not going to specify that, Dave. That will remain secret.

Florence C-L

Florence C-L I personally think it would be better if the expiry date for each round was the day it starts :)

Andy SC Just thought of a new feature for this "Joker Card" - You pick which of the 24 rounds you use it on. For that round your points will be doubled. However, you will be required to pick what round to use it on before you know what round has what format.

Andy SC

Andy SC The format for each round will only be selected when I create the tournament page for each day.

Andy SC *ADVENT CALENDAR*

Just under two weeks left to sign-up. When you sign up you will be required to do two things:
1. Select a format of your choosing (Must be an English high scoring format). This will be put into the draw and may be randomly selected as one of the 24 rounds.
2. Pick which of the 24 rounds to use your joker card on. This will double your points from the round it is used. Failure to do this will mean you will get randomly assigned a round
3. To keep the element of surprise, you MUST do 1 and 2 by sending me an aptomail.

To those that have picked their format and joker card round, you change if you wish to do so.

One last point, I have decided that each round will now finish on the day it started with the leaderboard being updated shortly after midnight each day.

Andy SC

Andy SC Sign-ups close today. Reminder if you sign-up to send me your format of choice and which of rounds 1 to 24 to use your joker card on.

Notes from the organizer: This fun tournament based around the chocolate sensation of the same name will take place from the 1st-24th December. One new round will become available each day and will either last till the 24th December or the day it starts (Not decided which yet).

What is the format? Well this is were the participants come in. Upon signing-up for the tournament, you will be required to send an aptomail to me with a format of your choice (DO NOT let anybody else know this format choice). 24 of the formats will then be selected at random and attributed to one of the rounds. The criteria for what format you are allowed to pick is as follows:
- Your format of choice must be a high scoring format - https://www.apterous.org/statland.php?section=highscores
- Your format of choice must be an English format

Scoring for this will work like the duel and 3 bonus points will be awarded to any max game along the way. If we have 40-players, 1st place would get 40-points, 2nd 39 points and so on.

If you have any questions please do ask.
